Now, I live in a small city in Korea. In a short while, the municipal election is happening. Billboards, big posters on buildings, etc etc. Their getting their name out there, I like it.
In the mornings, they really get their names out there. The candidates stand on the corners or the side of busy streets wearing a nice suit and a yellow sash slung over themselves. The sash is shiny with Korean writing on it, which I can only assume says “Don’t run me over”. Either way, for every car that drives by or person strolling around, they will full on bow (bowing is like shaking hands here) to said party. This happens every single morning during the week. Some people bow back (not I) but I really hope some drivers don’t bow. Seems dangerous.
