I have a great friend, Myles. He’s from 25 years old from Ireland, loves to drink, talk about football (soccer), say “hammer down” and drink.
Lately, he has talked about this fake, non-existant phenomenon called the “FEAR“. It still confuses me. I then asked him to write a 200-300 word essay on the topic. Here it is:
Its Sunday morning in Samcheok, I have drank copious amounts of alcohol over the course of the weekend, a combination of Korean beer, soju and maybe some shots of Jim Bean whiskey. When I wake up I am exhausted and I have a splitting headache, but I persevere, I shower and I eat some cereal. Initially I feel fresh but little do I know the day that lies ahead of me and the inextricable FEAR that awaits me.
The FEAR is the unexplainable phenomenon that I have of recent experienced on numerous occasions. It is the severest kind of hangover; a mixture of sleep deprivation and drink intoxication from the preceding days. The FEAR manifests itself at various times throughout a day, one can feel extreme angst for no apparent reason, one can feel nervous about meeting other people or even friends and one is usually unable to contribute to a conversation in any normal fashion. The FEAR makes you scared and nervy. It is best to keep to oneself during the ordeal of the FEAR. However some peoples FEAR may accentuate even more if they are left alone resulting in them craving the company of close friends. It is best that the friend understands the complexities of the FEAR as if they don’t again the FEAR can be increased to a higher level.
